9 Horror Films You Should Watch Before Halloween
October is one of my favorite months. I love the feeling of being creeped out, especially from the comfort of my couch. I get a strong sense of excitement from tours of haunted houses, campfire ghost stories, and horror movies.
Speaking of scary movies, I have a few recommendations for October:
Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon (2006)
Have you ever wondered what it’s like to be the serial killer in a slasher film? This faux documentary shows you.
Unfortunately, I can only find this movie available via a channel called Shudder on Amazon.
Halloween (1978)
Halloween is the first slasher flick that comes to mind when I think about October. I feel like it still holds up too.
It looks like you can watch Halloween on Hulu and HBO right now.
Scream (1996)
I still can’t believe my dad let me watch this when I was a kid. In fact, this movie had a lot to do with my idea of crime growing up. Until I was about 10 years old, I thought that being stalked by a serial killer was sort of just a phase you go through.
Scream is available on Netflix.
