Cover for “Montana Man” by Barbara Delinsky

While I’ve read plenty of Harlequin novels at this point, is the first Harlequin Temptation on my radar. And look at that, it even has an Award of Excellence right on it.

This book was published in 1989, and it promises us a wild ride. Though, not necessarily a wild ride through Montana as the title suggests.

The Blurb

He gave her direction.

Picking up a hitchhiker in a blizzard was a dangerous thing to do, but Lily Danziger was already living on the edge. Having run from the so-called security of New England society, she and her newborn were…

Day 1

When I begin writing, I usually have a general idea. When I take the time to plan, I have a full outline that I created when the idea came to me. Unfortunately, that was not the case when I started my latest story. In this case, I had just a title and a word count I wanted to reach.

So, spent most of my first day planning. I wanted to publish the story on Amazon in three days, and my goal was 6,000 words. …

is a Harlequin American Romance by Caron Welles. It was published in 1983, and the cover is pretty amazing. It features a man playing guitar and making out with the heroine at the same time, majestic mountains peeking out from the background. A trio of guitar players teases us from the bottom corner, promising me another amazing music-centered story.

Will this book deliver? Let’s see.

In May of 2020, I had an idea that I might want to publish fiction on Amazon in the future. It seemed like something I could do “one day,” but once I started writing, I realized that things moved pretty quickly. I had no idea that by the end of the month, I would be able to publish several erotic short stories (and that I’d be able to make some money doing it).

Admittedly, I’m not drawing in the kind of money that many other authors claim to. Publishing erotic fiction on Amazon is not a way to get rich…

If somebody asked me which TV show had the biggest impact on me, it would have to be . This show caught me at a time when I really needed guidance in life.

Trying to figure out my favorite episodes of is much more difficult than trying to describe my favorite moments. If somebody forced me to come up with a list, this is pretty much it.

Spoiler warning. This is your last chance to turn away.

#15: Everyone Leaves (Season 3, Episode 10)

This is the episode where Lisa disappears, which makes it great. I mean, not only because I dislike…

is a Harlequin Romance from 1993. It is the first book I’ve read by Kay Wilding, and I’m willing to say that it is my favorite of the Harlequins I’ve read so far. I always love a “being on the run” story.

National parks are a road trip tradition in the United States. Each year, families pile into vehicles to look at some of the most beautiful landscapes nature has to offer.

And yet, the parks cannot please everybody. These are some of the people who left national parks unhappy with nature’s glory . . . and other things.

Yellowstone National Park

Yellowstone is my favorite park personally, but that doesn’t mean it appeals to everybody. It certainly didn’t appeal to these Yelpers, who found the toilet situation to be less than stellar. …

One of the biggest roadblocks to writing is actually getting started. It’s so easy to back away from writing when you don’t have an idea to work with.

Now, I don’t use generators all the time, but I do think they can be fun to play with. You might find these useful too.

This plot generator offers a lot of types of ideas, including blurbs and short story ideas. They are pretty silly, but you can fill in the blanks to make them specific to ideas you already have. There are also a few name generators.

An example:

is a Harlequin Romance by Leigh Michaels. It was published in 1986. Michaels has published over 80 romance novels in addition to other works.
