Don’t Miss Out Because Nobody Wants to Go With You
If you are anything like me, you crave independence and freedom. You want to explore everything the world has to offer. You want to be carefree and relentless in pursuing new experience.
If you are anything like me, you are scared to death of all of that.
If you are anything like me, you need to do it anyway.
We can’t miss out on the world because other people can’t join us in our pursuits. We need to feel free to go to dinner at a restaurant on our own, to be in our own silence sometimes. We need to be able to travel alone, sit at the hotel bar, and appreciate the world around us.
As much as we want companionship, it can’t always be available.
We have to face the fact that there are times we are doing our lives alone. For somebody like me, this can be totally freeing and also utterly terrifying.
I have gone for months at a time traveling by myself. Those trips I’ve taken have been some of the most difficult in my life, but also some of the most fulfilling.
