I have no idea what I just watched, but I didn’t learn much.

Today we’re going to learn all about budgeting! You wouldn’t know it, but budgeting with 17 kids isn’t easy!

We first learn that the bottom of Jed’s boot fell off, so the family needs to go to the thrift store and find a new pair of cowboy boots.

Josiah tells us that the average family goes to the mall and buys “all these expensive clothes and shoes” (no, they don’t). Apparently this family thinks it’s unique for going to thrift stores.

Joy Anna uses duct tape to repair Jed’s boots before the family leaves for the store. Michelle reminds us that she’s pregnant and has morning sickness, and she’s also the only adult taking like 6 little boys to the store.

Michelle says that the kids are homeschooled, so they don’t have peer pressure to be fashionable. The kids ride bikes through the store, which is obnoxious for everybody and causes Michelle to say, “It’s a challenge to keep up with life in general.”

Michelle says that she tells her kids all the time that it’s a privilege to play and go shopping. Then, she checks out and we get these “savings” pages.

Jill tells us all the steps involved in making and using laundry soap. I retain none of it because it’s dull.
