Hostel Review: St. Christopher’s Gare du Nord in Paris, France
Almost everywhere I traveled in Europe, I felt like I was seeing St. Christopher’s. They seemed to have decent facilities and prices, and yet I always found something just a bit cheaper or more conveniently located. Unfortunately, I didn’t stay at one of their hostels until the end of my trip when I was in Paris.
I chose to stay at near Gare du Nord, the train station, because I was headed to England on the Eurostar in just a few days. St. Christopher’s Inn Gare du Nord is literally just a block away from the train station.
The Rooms
My favorite thing about St. Christopher’s Inn Gare du Nord is the fact that they have pod beds with curtains — a rare luxury, I discovered. I was staying in a 6-person room, so having some sense of privacy was perfect.
St. Christopher’s offers female dorms and single rooms with en suite bathrooms, but I stayed in a mixed-sex room. Overall, I felt pretty safe.
The Amenities
The WiFi was really good at this hostel, and so was the free breakfast. The fact that breakfast was free was perfect because I was nearing the end of my trip and was running low on funds.
St. Christopher’s also offers a laundry room, Internet lounge, lockers, and discounts…
