I Asked ChatGPT To Write a Money Diary: Oxnard, California

A couple of days ago, I asked ChatGPT to write a Money Diary for a diarist in Ventura, California. Today, I asked ChatGPT to explore a nearby beach town to see what kinda of variations I would get.

Here are the results and my commentary.

Rent: $1,300 for a one-bedroom apartment near the beach

Okay, so the last beachy diarist was also a marine biologist. I’m beginning to wonder if that’s going to be the default for diarists who live near a California beach. Definitely something to explore. Also, there’s no way this diarist lives alone (even in a one-bedroom) for $1,300.
