I Read the ‘Sister Wives’ Book: Part 8 — Christine’s First Years
Christine starts by saying that her first year of marriage was super tough. She hardly knew Kody when they wed, and she felt like he was a stranger she had to get to know.
At this point, several people have made reference to Christine’s “rose-colored glasses,” which is interesting because her Twitter handle was rosecolored6.
By the way, here’s a little more insight into their wedding.
The three wives could not agree on how to organize a household or raise children. For the first three months, she did live with the other wives. They would eat meals together, which she liked a lot. Eventually, she realized that she needed to get to know Kody on her own, and she thought the other wives were sick of living with newlyweds. So, she got her own cottage. Around this time, Christine also got pregnant.
Christine says that the first fight she had with Kody was about not dividing time equally between the wives. She says he lacked emotional tools to fix things, and she says they were all too young.
