Let’s Talk About Family Vlogging

If you spend any time on YouTube, you’ve seen them. Some of us even know people who make them. They’ve crept into our universe, almost overnight.

Family vlogs.

One of the most interesting things about family vlogs is the fact that they always have these weird thumbnails. Some are heavily edited, and some are terribly posed.

Sure, they are kind of funny to laugh at. Who believes that their child’s 3rd grade report card warrants a video for all the Internet to see? And who is watching these videos of children being confronted about these very normal childhood issues?

For so many children, every aspect of their life is now on the Internet. Some children appear online from their very first moments of life. These children are recognizable to the public. Some even have fan pages.

So, Why Are Family Vlogs a Thing?

I can see why people start making family vlogs. A lot of people have the dream of making money from home and maybe garnering a little bit of fame along the way.
