Recap: ‘16 & Pregnant: Aubrey’

Aubrey and Brandon must prepare a new life together, all while she tries to get her GED. They get married, but their fresh start might cause them to resent one another because of all they’ve had to give up.

This is the episode where they pan for gold, and that’s mainly what I remember going in.

Aubrey is 17 and lives in Prescott Valley, Arizona. She apparently moved back and forth between Washington and Arizona with her mom, and she had a lot of problems with school. She ultimately decided to drop out.

When she was 16, Aubrey met Brandon. He’s “a few years older” which is never good when you’re talking about a relationship with a 16 year old.

Aubrey and Brandon moved in together, and we see him painting her nails. Aubrey wants to get a GED and go to culinary school, but they got evicted when Brandon lost his job. They moved in with Aubrey’s grandma as they await the birth of their child.

November — 30 Weeks Pregnant

Aubrey apparently had an intense family life. She wanted to party all the time before she got pregnant with their son, Austin. Like so many other 16 & Pregnant cast members before them, the sit on swings and talk about the future.

Apparently, Brandon also had a difficult upbringing. He says that his mom had other priorities. He expresses gratitude that his son will have a good mom.
