Recap: ‘16 & Pregnant: Lizzie’
Let’s meet Lizzie. She’s in Smithfield, Virginia, with her mom and three dogs. Apparently Lizzie’s parents are divorced but still get along. She loves to party (I think in the high school band way), and she has a boyfriend named Skylar.
Skylar works at a thrift store and is “studying to become a professional glass blower.” Lizzie plays flute in the school band and is looking forward to graduation. She wants to play in the Virginia Orchestra some day.
Lizzie says she has the perfect life, but that’s all about to change because . . . *flute sounds* . . . she’s pregnant.
September — 5 Months Pregnant
Lizzie was a junior when she got pregnant, but she left to be homeschooled. She says her mom was shocked, but now she’s excited to be a grandma. They look at Lizzie’s pants, and she to wear stretch jeans.
Lizzie says her dad, Rick, is less supportive. Rick, Lizzie, and her mom eat at an empty restaurant. Lizzie was on birth control but decided that she didn’t want to go for her annual check-up for a pap smear, so she stopped taking it. By the way, you don’t have to get a pap smear to get birth control everywhere today.
