Remembering Adam Schlesinger’s Work on ‘Crazy Ex-Girlfriend’
Adam Schlesinger passed away at the age of 52 last week as as a result of COVID-19 complications. Schlesinger was a composer and songwriter who worked on music for Josie and the Pussycats, Music and Lyrics, and of course, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend.
I had a strong personal connection with Crazy Ex-Girlfriend. I started watching the show during a vulnerable time in my life, and I connected with it on so many levels. As much as I loved the characters, I was also desperately in love with the music and witty writing.
It seems fitting this week to recognize some of the great songs from the show. these are just a few of my favorites from the entirety of the series.

‘Let’s Have Intercourse’ is a song that gets stuck in my head all the time. The lyrics are perfect, and the choreography is brilliant.
