The State of Content Mills in 2024
Have you been wondering what your favorite content mill is up to these days? Most likely, you aren’t missing much.
Here’s where some of the most popular content mills currently stand at the beginning of 2024.
WritersDomain
In August, writers for WritersDomain (Boostability) were treated with the news that the company had been staffing an internal team to write content using generative AI.
What followed next was a series of misleading statements about how many of the monthly tasks were completed by this team using AI. The announcement promised that “in coming months there will still be work available.”
Writers were also told that they had been a huge part of Boostability’s success in growing to become “one of the largest SEO firms serving small businesses in the world.” In spite of the fact that writers were “essential” for helping the company achieve success, a post on August 28, just weeks later, said that as of September 1, “Standard Articles will no longer be available.” Accounts would be frozen for many writers.
But never fear, you could still apply to be part of the internal team for $15 per hour, after the company previously paid around $15 per article. And don’t forget, you used to get paid over $25 to write the same articles.
