Thoughts From a Live Viewing of Lifetime’s V.C. Andrews Casteel Series Extravaganza — “Gates of Paradise”

Gates of Paradise is not my favorite Casteel series book, but I think it has the potential to be the best movie of the bunch based on its intact story.

I love Annie’s look. Maybe not what I had in mind for the character, but I think she’s just a really beautiful woman. Also, I’m super surprised they got Tainted Love.

The dialogue for Drake is actually not bad. But yeah, these “siblings” are creepy.

I don’t know about this new Heaven. I don’t like her clothes. I don’t like her voice. Not a great casting choice, in my opinion.

It’s pretty messed up that Logan and Heaven are celebrating Annie’s birthday so much, and yet they don’t even acknowledge it’s also Luke’s birthday. Why doesn’t he get a car too?

I don’t like this Fanny either. Her look does not match up for me.

None of the men in these movies can read a room.

Annie looks so much like Anna Paquin. Actually, she kind of looks like Anna Paquin and Evan Rachel Wood had a beautiful child together.

“There is only one Fanny I’m interested in. And it isn’t your sister.” Gross, Logan.

Fanny’s outfit at her birthday party is . . . intense.

I don’t know if Fanny’s age works out but I’m too lazy to do the math.
