Going in, I think this movie could work well, especially because the book had a pretty self-contained story. You don’t really need much other information to make sense of this movie. So maybe it’s fine.

Leigh reminds me of a ghost. She is soooo young.

We finally get to see some of Jillian’s paintings. They are terrifying.

Wouldn’t Leigh already know what a captain’s log is?

Leigh’s mom and dad are so not a match. The actress who plays her mother is beautiful, but she kind of just looks like she’s wearing a Halloween costume to be “old-timey.”

I know Leigh’s mother lied and said she was 28, but wouldn’t Leigh’s age kinda give that away? Isn’t she supposed to be like 16? Even if Leigh was 13, it doesn’t make a lot of sense.

Unfortunately, this movie isn’t as interesting as it could be since we know so much already.

Poor Cleave. He’s trying to get Leigh away from creepy Tony but he can’t. He knows.

The actor they chose for young Tony is fantastic. He looks so much like Jason Priestley its scary.

Honestly, the actress who plays Leigh should have played Heaven.

I forgot Cleave isn’t Leigh’s biological father. Her mother is so unhinged.
