1934 — Clyde Barrow and Bonnie Parker kill two highway patrolmen near Grapevine, Texas. The victims were H.D. Murphy and Edward Bryant Wheeler.

1988 — April Tinsley is murdered in Fort Wayne, Indiana. April’s killer was unidentified for 30 years until July 2018 when John Miller was convicted and sentenced to 80 years in prison.

1990 — Robert Rhoades, the “Truck Stop Killer” is apprehended. He was convicted of three murders but is suspected in up to 50 more.
