1990 — Dalton Prejean’s appeal is rejected by the Supreme Court. He was sentenced to death for killing a state trooper in Louisiana in 1977, and he had mental handicaps. He was executed later in the year.

2017 — Robert Lee Godwin Sr., 74, is shot and killed while walking outside in Glenville, Ohio. The killer, Steve Stephens, had posted video of the shooting to Facebook. He died by suicide two days later.
