1986 — Geraldo Rivera opens Al Capone’s vault, but nothing is inside. The spectacle is aired on live TV.
1995 — Timothy McVeigh is arrested for the Oklahoma City bombing.
2003 — Amanda Berry disappears right before her 17th birthday. She had been kidnapped by Ariel Castro and was able to escape from his home in 2013.
2016 — The Pike County shootings take place. Eight Rhoden family members are killed in four different homes throughout Pike County, Ohio. In 2018, four members of the Wagner family were arrested and charged.
