1973 — William Ray Bonner goes on a shooting spree in Los Angeles, killing seven people. Nine are wounded. After a police shootout, he is arrested and later sentenced to life in prison.

1974 — The Hi-Fi murders occur at a home audio shop in Ogden, Utah. Several men enter the store before it clsoes and take hostages. Three airmen were convicted in the deaths of three people and permanent injuries of two.
