1969 — Sirhan Sirhan receives the death penalty after the assassination of Robert Kennedy.

1984 — Motown singer Marvin Gaye is shot and killed by his father. His father pleaded guilty to manslaughter and faced six years of probation.

2006 — The Richardson family is murdered in Medicine Hat, Canada. The murders were committed by the family’s 12-year-old daughter, Jasmine, and her 23-year-old boyfriend, Jeremy Steinke. Both were convicted of three counts of first-degree murder. Jasmine was released from prison in 2016.
