1982 — John Hinckley’s trial begins after the attempted assassination of President Ronald Reagan.

1997 — Andrew Cunanan commits his first killing in Minneapolis. He murders Jeffrey Trail.

2008 — Josef Fritzl, 73, is arrested in Austria for keeping his daughter imprisoned in a cellar for over 24 years. She gave birth to seven of his children.
