1982 — Richard Kuklinski, a serial killer and self-described mafia hitman, kills pharmacist Paul Hoffman.

1992 — Members of the Los Angeles Police Department are acquitted by a jury in the beating of Rodney King.

2017 — Jordan Edwards, 15, is shot and killed by a police officer in Balch Springs, Texas. He was unarmed in the passenger’s seat of a vehicle. The officer, Roy Oliver, was found guilty of murder and sentenced to 15 years in prison.
