1968 — Martin Luther King Jr. is assassinated at the Lorraine Hotel in Memphis. Today, the hotel has been turned into the National Civil Rights Museum.
1984 — The body of Heide Villarreal-Fye, 23, is found on Calder Road in League City, Texas. Her death is associated with the Texas Killing Fields.
1991 — Mary Joe Frug is killed in Cambridge, Massachusetts near her home. Her murder is unsolved.
