1986 — Cara Knott disappears. The San Diego State University student disappears while driving between Escondido, California, to El Cajon. Her vehicle was found under a bridge. Craig Allen Peyer, a police officer, was convicted of her murder in 1988.
2005 — The Willington Quay child abduction occurs in England. A six-year-old girl is kidnapped while in the bath. Peter Voisey is convicted of the crime.
