1957 — Maria Elizabeth Ridulph, 7, disappears from a street corner in Sycamore, Illinois. Her remains were found several months later.
1989 — Melissa Brannen, 5, disappears from an apartment complex in Lorton, Virginia. The building’s handyman was convicted of her abduction, but her body has never been found.
1998 — Mark Jensen is on trial for the murder of his wife, Julie Jensen. During the case, a letter written by Julie claiming she was suspicious of her husband’s intentions was entered as evidence. Jensen was convicted of first-degree murder.
