1970 — Jeffrey MacDonald murders his pregnant wife and two daughters. MacDonald was an officer in the U.S. army. MaDonald had told police officers that a group committed the murders and chanted, “Acid is groovy, kill the pigs.” He was convicted of the murders nine years later.

1986 — Johnson & Johnson announces that it will stop producing capsule medications. The decision came on the heels of the death of a New York woman caused by Tylenol laced with cyanide. Cyanide was found in another bottle of Tylenol capsules at a New York store. Four years earlier, seven people were killed by poisoned Tylenol capsules in Chicago.

1998 — Diana Zamora, a U.S. Naval Academy cadet, is convicted of capital murder. The 20-year-old and then-fiance David Graham murdered Adrianne Jessica Jones. Zamora believed Jones was a romantic rival, and Graham told Zamora he’d had sex with Jones.

2007 — Ken Gorman, a marijuana rights activist, is shot and killed in his Colorado home. He’d run for state governor in the past. No suspects have been identified in this case.
