1933 — The Papin sisters, Christine, and Lea, murder their employer’s wife and daughter. They worked for the family as maids in France.
1986 — Anita Cobby, a nurse and beauty pageant winner, is abducted and murdered as she is walking home. Five men were ultimately convicted of the crime.
2008 — The Lane Bryant shooting occurs in Tinley Park, Illinois. Five people die. The shooter remains unknown.
2009 — A woman is walking in West Mesa, an undeveloped area in Albuquerque, when her dog finds a human bone. This discovery leads to the discovery of 11 women and girls who had been murdered.
