1968 — The Orangeburg massacre occurs. South Carolina Highway Patrol officers shoot protesters at South Carolina State University. About 200 people protested racial segregation at a bowling alley. Three protestors were killed and 27 others were injured.
1977 — Larry Flint is sentenced for obscenity charges for selling Hustler in Cincinnati. The conviction was appealed and ultimately overturned…
