1972 — In the span of 24 hours, 57 murders are committed in New York. (I can’t find a real source on this.)
1999 — The body of Racine County Jane Doe is discovered in Raymond, Wisconsin. Her body was exhumed in 2013, and in 2019 the authorities were finally able to identify her as Peggy Lynn Johnson.
2011 — Mark Stoman, who was convicted of killing two people because he believed them to be Arab, is executed in Texas.
