1974 — The Lady of the Dunes is discovered. The unidentified woman was found in Provincetown, Massachusetts, and her body has been exhumed three times in attempts to identify her. Her identity remains unknown.
2013 — Ariel Castro pleads guilty to 937 charges against him. They include charges of kidnapping, aggravated murder, and rape. He receives a life sentence in prison plus 1,000 years with no chance of parole for kidnapping Michelle Knight, Amanda Berry, and Gina DeJesus in Cleveland. All three women survived. Castro died by suicide in prison.
