1969 — Michael Mageau, 19, and Darlene Ferrin, 22, are shot in a Vallejo parking lot, right outside Blue Rock Springs Park. Mageau survived, but Ferrin was killed. Both are considered confirmed victims of the Zodiac killer.

1988 — Sally McNelly and Shane Stewart, both teens, are murdered in San Angelo, Texas, near Lake Nasworthy. Their murders are unsolved and increased Satanic panic across the nation in the 1980s.

1991 — Victor Peter Chang, an Australian cardiac surgeon who was one of the pioneers of modern heart transplant procedures, is shot and killed.

1999 — Benjamin Smith, a spree killer, dies by suicide after targeting minorities in drive-by shootings throughout Illinois and Indiana.
