1988 — Charles Edmund Cullen administers a lethal overdose of IV medication to a patient on purpose. Cullen admits to killing several patients at St. Barnabas while working as a nurse for 16 years. Some say he could have killed as many as 400 people.

2001 — Timothy McVeigh is executed by lethal injection for the Oklahoma City bombing in 1995.

2012 — Jerry Sandusky’s trial for sexual abuse begins. He is charged with 52 counts of abuse over a period of 15 years that he worked as an assistant football coach. He was sentenced to 30 to 60 years in prison that October.
