1967 — Interracial marriages are declared constitutional by the Supreme Court, preventing Virginia from making these relationships a crime.
1978— David Berkowitz, the “Son of Sam,” is sentenced to 25 years to life in prison. He had killed six people in New York.
1994 — Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman are stabbed outside Simpson’s Brentwood, California, home. O.J. Simpson would be tried and found not guilty of the murders.
2003 — Patrick Dennehy, 21, is murdered. He is shot by a Baylor University basketball teammate, Carlton Dotson.
