1962 — Mary Mullen, 85, has a heart attack in her Boston apartment. The Boston Strangler, Albert DeSalvo, confessed that she collapsed after he attacked her.
1969 — Jerry Brudos pleads guilty to three murders. He was sentenced to three life sentences in Oregon.
1978 — The Blackfriars massacre occurs in downtown Boston. Five people were killed, including a reporter.
