1978 — Actor Bob Crane is murdered in his Scottsdale, Arizona, apartment. He had been bludgeoned to death. The murder remains unsolved, and there are many theories about his death.

1981 — Wanda Jean Allen gets into a fight with her girlfriend, Dedra Pettus. Wanda shoots and kills Dedra. In a confession, Wanda claimed that she had accidentally shot Dedra while shooting at somebody else. Wanda served two years in prison after facing a manslaughter charge. In 1989, Wanda would be sentenced to death for the murder of 29-year-old Gloria Jean Leathers, her girlfriend.
