1962 — Nina Frances Nichols, 68, is assaulted and murdered in her Boston home. The same day, Helen Elizabeth Blake, 65, is found assaulted and killed in her home. Both are attributed to the Boston Strangler.

1994 — Tonya Harding is stripped of her championship title and banned from the U.S. Figure Skating Association for the attack that injured Nancy Kerrigan.
