1938 — Ohio Supreme Court justice Coleman W. Avery dies by suicide after murdering his wife.
1950 — The FBI begins its “10 Most Wanted Fugitives” program.
1964 — Jack Ruby is convicted of the murder of Lee Harvey Oswald. The ruling was eventually overturned, and Ruby died while awaiting trial.
2003 — Hannah Foster, a 17-year-old English student, is abducted in Southampton and murdered. Maninder Pal Singh Kohli was sentenced to life in prison for the crime.
