1972 — Kim Wendy Allen, 19, takes a ride from two men in California. She wants to get from Larkspur Natural Foods to San Rafael. They say they see her at 5:20 p.m. hitchhiking to school near Highway 101. Her body is found the next day in Santa Rosa. Her death is considered part of the Santa Rosa Hitchhiker Murders.

1974 — W.S. McIntosh, civil rights leader, is shot and killed while trying to prevent a robbery at a Dayton jewelry store.

1991 — The body of a man is found in Clarksburg, California. He had been stabbed in the chest months before he was found. His identity remains unknown, and his case is unsolved.
