1974 — Jack Teich is kidnapped in Kings Point, New York. Teich, 34, was abducted from his driveway and was held for seven days. He would eventually be exchanged for a ransom of $750,000.
2004 — Scott Peterson is convicted of murdering his pregnant wife, Laci Peterson. He was eventually sentenced to death.
