1894 — Dr. H. H. Holmes, a serial killer, is apprehended. He confesses to 27 murders.

1971 — Debbie Ackerman and Maria Johnson, both 15, are found deceased after disappearing from Galveston, Texas, two days earlier. They had accepted a ride.

1978 — The Burger Chef murders occur in Speedway, Indiana. Four employees go missing, and their bodies are discovered two days later. While investigators have an idea about who committed the crime, but physical evidence does not exist to prosecute the remaining suspects.
