1917 — The Milwaukee Police Department bombing occurs, killing 10 people. The perpetrators are unknown.

1934 — The Babes in the Wood Murders take place. The murder involves three girls found in the woods of Pennsylvania. The victims are Norma Sedgwick (12), Dewilla Noakes (10), and Cordelia Noakes (8). They were presumed murdered by Elmo Noakes, father to two of the groups and step-father to the eldest. The next day, Elmo shot his niece and then himself.

1993 — Robert Thompson and Jon Venables, both 10, are found guilty in the murder of 2-year-old James Bulger. They became the youngest convicted murderers in Britain. In 2001, they were released from prison. Venables returned to prison several times, most recently in 2017 for possession of child abuse images.

2007 — Emily Sander, 18, is murdered in El Dorado, Kansas. Israel Mireles was found guilty of her murder in 2010.
