1942 — Toni Jo Henry becomes the only woman to be executed by the electric chair in Louisiana. On a quest to break her husband, Claude ‘Cowboy’ Henry, out of prison, she robs and murders Joseph P. Calloway.

1969 — Betsy Aardsma, 22, is murdered in the Stacks of the Penn State Pattee Library.

1994 — Jeffrey Dahmer, who murdered at least 17 men and boys, is killed by a fellow prison inmate.

2001 — Joe and Joy Pittman are murdered. Their 12-year-old grandson, Christopher Pittman, is convicted in 2005.
