1986 — El Paso County John Doe is found up to a year after his death. His skeletal remains showed he had died due to blunt-force trauma. His body was found in an El Paso County, Colorado, field.

1992 — Gail Shollar, 35, was murdered after a carjacking outside a South Plainfield, New Jersey, mall. This was one of the first carjackings recording in United States history.

1995 — Somerset County John Doe is found in Somerset County, Pennsylvania. He’d been shot twice about a year before his remains were found.

1998 — Joshua Earl Patrick Phillips murders Maddie Clifton, 8, when he is 14 years old. He is serving a life sentence in prison.

2006 — Teressa Vanegas, 16, is found dead just three days after she went missing. Her body is found in a field across from a high school in Dickinson, Texas.
