1902 — Hale Johnson, attorney and politician, is shot by a farmer while trying to collect a debt.

1973 — Laura O’Dell, 21, goes missing. He body is found three days later at Golden Gate Park.

1982 — Dominique Dunne, an actress known for appearing in Poltergeist. On October 30, Dunne was strangled by her ex-boyfriend. She went into a coma in her driveway and died days later. John Thomas Sweeney served less than four years in prison after he was convicted of voluntary manslaughter.
