1972 — James Willett is found dead by a hiker in Guerneville, California. His vehicle was found in Stockton where several Manson family members, including Squeaky Fromme, lived. The body of Willett’s wife, Reni, was found in the basement of the home. Several people living there were charged with the murder and as accessories.

1973 — Edmund Kemper is found guilty and sane by a jury. The serial killer is expected to spend the rest of his life behind bars.

1988 — Debra DeMello, 35, is found dead on I-195. She was last seen in New Bedford, Massachusetts on July 11, 1988.

2019 — Peggy Lynn Johnson, formerly Racine County Jane Doe, is identified. Her body had been discovered in 1999 in Raymond, Wisconsin. Her body was exhumed in 2013 as part of an investigation into her identity. A suspect is in custody for her murder.
