1978 — Nancy Spungen, the girlfriend of Sid Vicious, is killed. She was found dead in the couple’s bathroom and had been stabbed in the abdomen. Sid Vicious was charged with the murder but died of a heroin overdose while out on bail.

1986 — Cathleen Thomas, 27, and Rebecca Dowski, 21, are killed in Williamsburg, Virginia. Their deaths are part of the Colonial Parkway Murders.

2002 — Saguache County John Doe is found in Saguache, Colorado. He had been shot in the head twice and left in a ravine, wrapped in a handmade quilt and plastic. Authorities believe he could have been at a motorcycle-related event when he was killed. His identity and murderer remain unknown.
