1900 — An 11-year-old is found in a vault in the back yard of her parent’s home. She’d slipped out of the house unnoticed while her parents were hosting friends. Several men were arrested and released for the crime. The Dayton Strangler was active during this time.

1998 — Eric Rudolph is charged with six bombings, including the Centennial Olympic Park bombing.

2011 — The Seal Beach mass shooting occurs in which nine people are killed in and near a hair salon. The shooting stemmed from a custody dispute with one of the victims.
