2005 — Scott Dyleski kills his neighbor, Pamela Vitale. He received a sentence of life in prison because he was 16 years old when he committed the crime. In 2018, his sentence was reduced to 25 years.

2008 — Jan Pawel Pietrzak and Quiana Jenkins Pietrzak, a married couple, are killed. Four marines entered the home, attacking and killing both. Two of the marines worked under Pietrzak. The four pleaded not guilty. Ultimately, three were handed death sentences and another received a sentence of life in prison.

2018 — Jayme Closs is kidnapped by Jake Thomas Patterson. The 13-year-old was abducted from her family’s Wisconsin home after her parents were fatally shot. Patterson held Closs for 88 days, and she was able to escape. Patterson has been sentenced to two life sentences plus 40 years.
