1994 — New Castle County John Doe is discovered. His identity remains unknown.
2009 — Morgan Harrington, 20, disappears from the John Paul Jones Arena after attending a Metallica concert in Charlottesville. Her body is found three months later in a rural area. Forensic evidence connected the murder to Jesse Matthew, Jr., who was also a suspect in the murder of Hannah Graham. He pleaded guilty to both murders and received four life sentences.
