1978 — Gig Young, an actor, is presumed part of a murder-suicide with his fifth wife, Kim Schmidt. Young is believed to have shot his wife and then himself.

1989 — Annamaria Phelps and Daniel Lauer vanish while driving to Virginia Beach. Their bodies were found along I-64. Their deaths are part of the Colonial Parkway murders.

2007 —Yolanda Brown, a singer, is murdered alongside her producer and boyfriend, JeTannue Clayborn. The murder took place at the studio, and the case remains unsolved.
