1965 — Sylvia Likens dies in Indianapolis, Indiana. The teenager had been tortured and abused by Gertrude Baniszewski, some of Baniszewski’s children, and some neighborhood children.

1983 — Sondra Ramber, 14, is last seen at her home in Santa Fe, Texas. She’d been abducted, as she had food in the oven and her purse was still in the house. Her body has not been found.

2001 — Chante Jawan Mallard, 25, hits Gregory Glenn Biggs, 37, with her car. Mallard drove home with the man attacked to her windshield, and he died up to two days later. Mallard faced 50 years in prison.

2013 — The Zhuo family is murdered by Mingdong Chen. Chen murders his cousin’s wife and four children in Brooklyn.
